Studio 9515

Studio 9515 is the brainchild of my close friends, and fellow creators, Harry and Colette Mestynak. After retiring from their respective careers they wanted to make a creative space to bring art-making to their community. Knowing of my carpentry skills, they asked me to be a part of this studio’s evolution. Thrilled by the request, we turned a dirty, old two-car garage from the 70s into a bright creative space in the summer of 2020.

Hedges’ Studio

Another studio project I was asked to help on was a personal creative space for Joe Hedges. Joe is a professor at Washington State University where he was a mentor to me and now a good friend. With him and his partner having a baby, space became a dire need. With help from Richie Masias, Joe and I turned his backyard garden shed into a versatile creative space.

An online article was written about educators dealing with teaching from home and it featured Joe and his new studio.
