Penumbra

Penumbra is the outer region of a shadow existing in half-dark and half-light, the space in-between. This recent body of work explores the in-between of physical space and nostalgia, representational and abstract, how we remember and how it was. Stemming from a recent revisit of Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, a novella by Edwin A. Abbott, I link my own memory and nostalgia with ideas of dimensions and the “in-betweens” of the recognizable and unknown.
